Sound out one word at a time
The story's sound is colored in each word and split into parts to blend. Sight words show in gold.
Read the whole sentence out loud
At the end of each sentence the words come back together, so students read it again as one line.
Check the sound after each story
Nine words from the story. Students tap the ones with its sound and get a score straight away.
The twelve stories run from short vowels and digraphs, through blends, magic e and long vowel teams, to r-controlled vowels and diphthongs. Students who finish one theme already know the routine for the next.
